The Vintage Shrug

This super-comfy one-size shrug fits a range of sizes. The pattern is very simple. The shrug is entirely worked in rows and uses only double crochet stitches. The color of the yarn gives the shrug depth and creates a beautiful vintage look.

The Directions

 

Slipknot. CH 145.

Row 1: SC in each CH until the end.
Row 2-8: CH 3, 1 DC in each ST until the end.
Cut and weave in all ends.
Row 9: Count 30 ST from one end. CH3 in the 31st ST, 1 DC in each of the next 84 ST.
Stop 30 ST before the end (you leave 30 ST unworked). Turn your work.
Raw 10: CH3, 1 DC in each ST until the end (85 ST in total in a row now).
Row 11-42: CH3, 1 DC in each ST until the end (85 ST in total in a row now).

Cut and weave in all ends.

Fold the bottom section in half as in the scheme below.

Then, starting from the folded corner, sew the folded parts together (approx. 10 cm) to create the arm holes.

Repeat for the other side. Cut and weave in all ends.
